Learning how to learn

During my practical experiences as an Early Childhood teacher, I have observed teacher’s apprehension towards depending on ICT in lessons because of the unreliability of equipment they are provided with and the sporadic support systems accessible.

This is entirely understandable when you experience the utter disappointment in twenty-four, 5yr old faces when you break the news that they cannot partake in the exciting new ICT activity because it “doesn’t want to cooperate” (ahhmm… may have happened to me).

I feel that EDC3100 will give me the tools to implement ICT in my future classrooms confidently and effectively as it recognises the changing nature of ICT and structures the course in a way that teaches students to “learn how to learn”.
